If you got mostly “A,” you’re a…

Weeping Willow!  This romantic shade tree is popular for both its circular canopy of dramatically sweeping slender branches as well as its spiritual connotations.  In the Chinese Qingming Festival, willow branches are used to sweep graves and are hung on doors to ward off wandering evil spirits.  They’re also associated with Kwan Yin, the bodhisattva of compassion.  The willow appears in many works of art, is popular in charcoal drawings, and is famous for Desdemona’s heartbreaking “Willow Song” in Shakespeare’s Othello (and Verdi’s opera of the play.)

You’re a poet and a dreamer, wearing your flowy clothes and writing in your journal on a rock in the park while people-watching.  You have a strong spiritual sensitivity, and people get a good vibe and find it easy to relate to you, even though they often ask, “Are you sad?” when you’re just gazing off into middle distance, as you often do.

If you got mostly “B,” you’re a…

Palm Tree!  Palms grow in the tropics and naturally gravitate toward the sun, even growing in a curve to better reach the light.  They have become an emblem of vacation and good times the world round, while also signifying victory and fertility in older traditions.

You’re a beach-lovin’ babe who despises the indoors and relishes a sunny climate.  You don’t understand vacations to museums.  For you, it’s all about the maxin’ and relaxin’.  You get invited out a lot and love to party.  Crack out the piña coladas!

If you got mostly “C,” you’re a…

Sequoia!  These huge coniferous evergreens are some of the largest and oldest trees in the world.  The oldest redwood is said to be around 2,000 years old.  This endangered tree grows in a select few places in the world, indigenous to Northern California and Oregon, with a rare few found in mountains of China.

You have an old soul, are wise for your years, and can be very imposing.  You are more likely to stand quietly by while lots of other drama happens in front of you.  People respect your opinion and are likely to come to you for advice, though probably not for a keg race.

If you got mostly “D,” you’re a

Maple!  This popular deciduous tree can be seen all over North America.  It is beloved for its gorgeous foliage in the fall and its delicious sap, used for making everyone’s favorite pancake topper.  Maple is also “tone wood,” meaning it’s known for its resonance, making it a popular choice for musical instruments.  And, of course, the most prominently featured maple leaf appears on Canada’s flag.

You’re an easy-going and affable type who gets along with everyone.  People love your sense of humor, find you charming and attractive, but in a sort of “girl next door” way.  You appreciate the simple things in life, and don’t need anything too fancy to be happy.  You’re sweet, kind, and musically inclined.  What’s not to love?
