Chick Click: Dooce.com

This week’s Chick Click is a blog dedicated to the life and musings of funny lady Heather B. Armstrong on Dooce.com.  Armstrong started her blog in 2001 with a simpledoocelogo_111811 post about Carnation milk.  Ten years later, Dooce.com is her family’s sole source of income and she has over one million followers on Twitter.  So basically, she has a lot of potential.  Maybe one day she’ll be something…

Dooce.com has an assortment of content.  You can find anything from family pictures to comical anecdotes about surviving the New York Marathon with ten packets of Chocolate Gu.  Armstrong has an endearing way of tackling deep issues with a sense of humor.  Don’t be surprised to read about her struggle with depression, leaving the Mormon church, and birthing her daughter sans drugs.  But don’t worry, Dooce.com is by no means a mope-fest; Armstrong floods her site with beauty and hilarity and will definitely leave you with a smile.  She posts personal recommendations for music and activities, as well as personal photos that add to the site’s overall personal touch.  While exploring, don’t be surprised when you manage to completely forget that it’s a money-churning website because of just how much more like a personal, intimate blog it appears to be.  So, Heather B. Armstrong, consider we comedivas fans, forevermore.

Now go check it out, b*tches!
