Because Whedon mashups are the best mashups. Here is modern television, vastly improved:
Captain America in Downton Abbey
Steve Rogers appears in Downton Abbey Season 2 as a wounded super soldier recovering in the Downton convalescent home, giving Cousin Matthew a run for his money (as well as causing a stir between the Crawley sisters!)
Dr. Horrible in American Horror Story: Asylum
Our hope for an American Horror Story musical episode/season will finally be realized!
River Tam in Girls
We’re eager to see the awkward interactions that arise between River and Hannah, River and Marnie, River and Jessa, and most especially River and Shoshanna (can you imagine all the blank stares!)
Iron Man in Mad Men
A self-described genius, billionaire, playboy, philanthropist. The fact that Tony Stark isn’t already working at Sterling Cooper Draper Pryce is astounding…and we’re almost positive he’ll be changing that to Sterling Cooper Draper Price & Stark the first chance he gets.
Kaylee Frye in New Girl
The always-quirky Kaylee and the even-quirkier Jess would get along famously. Kaylee would love the ADORKABLE outfits that Jess would put together for her. Move over, Cece!
Jayne Cobb in Pawn Stars
Jayne would feel right at home on Pawn Stars as a brute who finds pleasure in separating fools from their money (or family heirlooms).
Nick Fury in The Office
The Office is in serious need of a capable Regional Manager, and who better to fill the role than Nick Fury, the S.H.I.E.L.D. agent who assembled the Avengers even in the face of so much adversity?
Buffy in Vampire Diaries
This is hilariously obvious, and will be obviously hilarious.
Malcolm Reynolds Hosting Saturday Night Live
This could easily be achieved by having Nathan Fillion host SNL, then writing a Firefly sketch into the show (impromptu Firefly/Serenity reunion anyone?)
Um, hello. You missed an obvious one. Willow Rosenberg in The Big Bang Theory!
