But as much sense as the Fairness Act seems to make, apparently Republicans thought different. In fact, the bill was defeated, as all Republicans voted against it — but perhaps most perplexing about this is the fact that among those GOPers were women, who, as federal employees, are also paid less than their male counterparts.
Now, it’s unfair to throw all the blame at the small handful of female GOPers who voted against the bill — obviously, the fact that their male colleagues seem to have an irresistible impulse to constantly remind we women that we don’t know what’s good for us doesn’t help the situation.
But.
