Greetings, friends and furry felines! This pick is truly close to my heart because it brings me back to the days when my Yamama had to teach me right from wrong, and left from right, which I still sometimes get confused about. In the spirit of this wonderful informational film, I’d like to share a couple of special tips that my Yamama has always taught me, and sometimes even shouted at me while waving her wooden ruler around. This way, we can all learn to be proper ladies. Mind your Ps and Qs: I’m not sure what P or Q stand for here, but I’m guessing it’s abbreviated due to inappropriate nature. Basically, this means that you should be careful of what you say. For example: don’t name your lady parts out loud. Once you have spoken the language of the devil, you can’t ever take it back.
A hard head makes a soft behind: This means that bad manners can result in punishment, like permanently crossed eyes or hairy hands, or simply knowing that you’ve done the work of the devil and should be ashamed.
Even though this video uses the tune of “Girls Just Wanna Have Fun,” which Yamama says promotes promiscuous activities, I think this clever remake can teach us all a little something about proper lady behavior. Plus, Skittles happens to be a big fan of Cyndi Lauper’s early stuff.
