What’s your favorite cupcake flavor?

It may seem like the obvious choice, but red velvet’s still got the goods. Though real cream cheese frosting is a MUST.

What or whom inspired you to pursue a career in comedy?

Phoebe:
My love of oversized glasses and dreadlocked wigs.
Rosa: Justin Timberlake’s brilliant work on SNL.

If
Chuck Norris were to corner you in an alley and challenge you to a duel, what would be your weapon of choice?

Rosa:
Nunchucks.
Phoebe: My dignity.

What are some challenges you’ve faced since going down the comedy track and what has made those obstacles worth overcoming?
It’s always a challenge to convince your friends that they should spend four hours on a Saturday pretending to be partygoers for a comedy video. The upside is, if our friends don’t show, that means more roles for our crew members!

What’s the funniest thing you’ve ever heard/seen?
Never say “no” to Panda.

phoeby1Lil’ Phoebe Which comedienne, dead or alive, would you love to work with/meet?
Bernadette Peters, Madeline Kahn, Gilda Radner, Tina Fey, Amy Poehler, Maya Rudolph, Molly Shannon, Cher Horowitz, Kaitlin Olson, Kristen Wiig, Melissa McCarthy, Parker Posey, Liz Meriwether, Edi Patterson, Jane Curtin, Catherine O’Hara… Oh, wait. You said one???

In
what ways do you think you’ve improved or evolved since your first comedy venture?

Our videos are now higher quality than THIS.

What long-term/short-term goals do you have for your career?
Short term: Getting a shout-out on twitter from Beyoncé.
Long term: Playing free safety for the Green Bay Packers.

rosa
Which  character do you most resemble from The Divas?

Phoebe:
Lucille Ballbuster

Rosa: Frida Killho

Do you have a specific audience to whom you play/would like to play? Describe that audience, and why/how you’re playing to them.
Ladies! Men! Kids! Old people! Pets! We play ball with everybody (as long as they don’t cheat).

When you’re not writing/performing comedy, you’re:

Phoebe:
Napping and trying to teach Rosa about spelling and grammar.
Rosa: Cooking and trying to teach Phoebe about sports and life.

What’s the difference between appealing to women and appealing to men?
Our biggest challenge is appealing to werewolves. They’re a tricky breed.

rosa_baby2Lil’ RosaWhat’s your favorite comedy movie or T.V. show of all time?

Phoebe:
Christopher Guest can do no wrong in my book and Teen Witch is one of my favorite unintentional comedies of all time.
Rosa: Always Sunny and 30 Rock and Arrested Development always make me happy and I still laugh out loud when I just think of scenes from Wet Hot American Summer and Anchorman. I really wanted to like Teen Witch (the “top that” scene is phenomenal), but it it just didn’t do it for me.

The title of your autobiography?
Still Single, Still White, Still Females.

Single White Females is a comedic web series about two ladies living in Los Angeles.  The series is both whimsical and absurd with hyper-colored videos that simultaneously lampoon and celebrate the ridiculousness of being a modern woman.

Phoebe Neidhardt and Rosa Handelman are writer-performers based in Los Angeles. They fell in during their time at Brown University as members of the same sketch comedy group.  Since then it’s been a life full of writing, shooting, and wrangling friends to help out on their webseries, Single White Females.  Phoebe and Rosa can be seen, most recently, on the cutting room floor of Google’s new international phone commercial.
