The folks on Joss Whedon’s space western Firefly had it tough. Not only were Malcolm Reynolds and his badass crew of space-pirates constantly being chased by the Alliance and awful Reavers, but they had to navigate planets and solar systems without Waze! They couldn’t even get semi-irrational answers from Siri. Can you image how different life on the Serenity would’ve been if the characters could google answers to their most desperate questions? The show still probably would’ve gotten canceled after eleven episodes, but still, at least they would’ve gotten to hear Jayne make jokes about hitting the “I’m Feeling Lucky” button.
