About the author

Jamie Jensen's creative career began while dragging her giant art portfolio onto the crowded subway from Queens to New York City to attend the "Fame School" at Lincoln Center. Her unnatural obsession with movies and uncanny ability to memorize entire scenes of dialogue led her to study film at NYU. Jamie then found her comedic voice quite practically – while working to pay the bills in an East Village dive bar. The clientele appreciated her constant tongue-lashings and quick wit, so she turned those verbal smack-downs into a humorous blog about dive bar etiquette. Jamie moved to Los Angeles to attend the Peter Stark Producing Program at USC. After earning her MFA, she worked as an assistant at United Talent Agency, Miramax, Mandate Pictures, and on the television show House before deciding to co-direct her own feature comedy with fellow USC alum Nadia Munla. Their film Hannah Has a Ho-Phase won Jamie the "Best Feature Writer" award at the La Femme Film Festival and will be available on demand as of June 7th, 2013. In addition to being funny in real life and screenplays, Jamie enjoys studying improv at Upright Citizens Brigade and fantasizing that she will one day be as fabulous as Tina Fey.

Liza Biggers is a freelance illustrator living in New York City. Her BA is completely unrelated to art. She enjoys long walks through the East Village and her hobbies include obsessive Etsy shopping, dragging her husband to action movies, and medieval recipes. Seriously, everyone should own the Game of Thrones Cookbook. Check out more of her work on her official site!
